Seed laboratory at Forest Research Centre, Mander is aptly suited for large scale seed testing and storage operations. The laboratory has a number of modern equipments such as automated seed counter, X-ray seed scanner, seed purity analysis unit, seed grader etc. A seed data base of important forestry species of Jharkhand is under preparation utilizing the facilities at this laboratory. Experimental work on recording of physical and physiological properties of a number and variety of seeds are also being carried out regularly.
