Ecoforestry Research Station, Sukna, (W.B)

Ecoforestry Research Station, Sukna is one of the Centre of ICFRE-Institute of Forest Productivity, Ranchi having conservation of medicinal plants as the major thrust area. The centre is working on the conservation, cultivation and marketing of medicinal plants and fuel wood species of tropical and temperate region. The centre has developed an herbal garden and propagation centre for training and production of Quality Planting Materials of medicinal plants. The centre is equipped with observatories at Sonada and Sukna with Hydro-meteorological recording facilities in Darjeeling district of West Bengal for data recording in selected watersheds.
