FRC is a satellite centre of IFP, situated at about 35 km from Ranchi on Ranchi-Gumla road. The centre is having over 24 hectare of experimental area for provenance and progeny trials and demonstration plantations. Centre is well equipped with tissue culture lab, soil testing lab, and biochemistry lab. All the modern nursery setup including mist chambers, shade house and composite units has been established at FRC, Mandhar. The centre is also having seed processing, storage and packaging facility.
